Hans is a hospitality expert and respected leader with more than 25 years of dedicated service as an international hotelier. A visionary leader in the world of luxury hospitality, he’s earned an impressive record of successfully launching, turning around and expanding organizations.
His executive career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company took him around the world, from Bucktown, Georgia, to Bali. He also served as a partner in Capella Hotel Group from its founding in 2003 until 2018. Today as founder and CEO of Ithaka Hospitality Partners, Hans leads the organization’s development initiatives and spearheads its academic partnership.
In 2007, he was named Hotelier of the Year by the Alabama Hospitality Association, Tourism Executive of the Year by the State of Alabama in 2014, and was awarded the Award of Excellence by the Alabama Travel Council in 2014.
Hans is chairman of the board for the Alabama Hospitality & Restaurant Association and the Alabama Travel Council.
