After a long career in law enforcement, Kent joined Talent Plus in 2005. Today, his role is Management Consultant Director, where he teaches client partners our science and methodology and consults with managers to help them select, develop and retain the people with the highest potential to make the organization and themselves successful.
He holds certifications in 34 different interviews and administers the structured interview in the Quality Selection Process®. Kent also serves as a resource for associates transitioning into a Talent-Based Organization®.
His career with the Lincoln (Neb.) Police Department spanned more than 24 years; he finished his career at the rank of captain.
After obtaining his Professional Instructor’s Certificate from the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Center in 1984, Kent conducted classes for the Lincoln Police Department, the Nebraska State Patrol, and police departments in Holdrege, Kearney and Norfolk. He was selected as Nebraska Law Enforcement Educator of the Year in 1990.
