With a career dedicated to the service business, Owen has amassed a wealth of experience in how to exceed customer expectations by creating a philosophy and culture that’s backed up by tried-and-true work processes and standards.
He joined Ritz-Carlton in its infancy and was instrumental in establishing and sustaining the brand’s legendary service culture and guiding the organization to earn the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
In his career with Saks Fifth Avenue, Owen helped reestablish the cachet and profitability of this iconic luxury brand, leading to the privately held company’s highly successful IPO. As a founding partner of the Capella Hotel Group, he enjoyed helping build the firm into a global leader in the service industry.
In every situation, Owen brings an invaluable perspective, from revenue generation, retention, human capital investment and management to resource and organization assessment, legal requirements and compliance.
He returned to his roots in operations by working on a management assumption project of two hotels for a private, high-profile hospitality group in both New Jersey and on the Georgia coast. Most recently, he worked with the endowment board of a non-profit, 501C independent senior living community on its properties on St. Simons Island, GA.
